Full-Time, permanent, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm

Nationwide Laboratories is a well established independent veterinary diagnostic laboratory which has been delivering diagnostic services for over 30 years.  We are dedicated to the improvement of animal health through the direct support of general practitioners, and specialist referral centres, both within the UK and overseas. We deal with all species but tend to see a predominance of companion animal work. .Nationwide Laboratories is a trading entity of National Veterinary Services Ltd. (NVSL).

Who we are looking for

  • Qualified veterinary anatomic pathologist (DipACVP, DipECVP, FRCPath) with a veterinary degree registrable with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons able to work in the UK.
  • We would also currently consider someone eligible for completion of the FRCPath/ACVP/ECVP board certification examinations in 2023.
  • Ideally we are seeking a full time member of staff working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, but flexi time and part time would be considered with the right candidate.
  • The successful candidate would be expected to have good interpersonal and communication skills, be customer focused and supportive of the team.

 

What you will be expected to do

  • Evaluate histology and cytology samples to produce descriptive and interpretive reports for submitting veterinary practices.
  • Participate in team activities, training, meetings and events and aid in the production of materials for presentations, newsletters, or literature to further promote the business.
  • Advise submitting practice teams on the suitability of samples and diagnostic tests requested.
  • Liaise with technical staff regarding both current technical processes and new advances to ensure they meet client requirements and professional standards.
  • Deliver high levels of customer service via email, telephone or face to face interactions.
  • Ensure safe working practices adopted and followed.
  • Fulfil statutory RCVS requirements regarding to maintenance of professional competency -including CPD, current advances and industry concepts.
