A Leicestershire practice is beginning the new year in a new home and with an expanded veterinary team. Nearly £1 million has been spent on the Ash Tree Vets site in Kibworth, near Market Harborough, where an open morning is due to take place this weekend (7 January) ahead of the start of operations there. Vets Chris Sherwood and Tine Headland have also joined the team, and bosses said their arrival, together with the move to the new Wistow Road site, will make more services available more quickly.

Expansion

Clinical director Stella Coulson said: “The team is super excited as this has been our dream for a long time. “Our Smeeton Road branch was too small and we weren’t able to offer all the procedures we do at the Harborough branch. Now, we will be able to mirror all those services and also be able to offer much better parking.

“I am also delighted that Chris and Tine have joined us. They have a wealth of experience. It means we will now have the capacity to see more pets, and clients will be able to get appointments sooner.

“There’s a lot of demand for pet care, as Kibworth and the surrounding area is forever expanding with new builds and developments.”

Open event

Around £915,000 has been invested in the new practice, which has been developed in a former industrial unit.

It offers four consulting rooms, two operating theatres, a physiotherapy room, laboratory, dental suite, separate dog and cat wards plus a dedicated bereavement room.

Ash Tree Vets, which is part of the VetPartners group and also has practices in Market Harborough and Desborough, will welcome clients to the Kibworth site for the open event this Saturday 7 January, between 10am and noon.
