At each stage from picking to delivery, cold chain products are stored to keep them between 2°C-8°C to ensure quality is maintained.
We were the first veterinary wholesaler to employ a fully active cold chain for the storage and transportation of temperature sensitive pharmaceutical products, within our own national distribution network.
This is achieved through the utilisation of specialised mobile refrigeration units, for transportation between our premises and the customer delivery points.
Cold Chain products are treated as ‘controlled items’ by us, due to their specific storage requirements. They will always be dispatched to our customers within clearly identifiable packaging.
At point of delivery, our customers are required to sign for the cold chain items, independently from the main delivery, to acknowledge receipt. The refrigerated goods should be placed immediately within an appropriate refrigeration unit, operating between 2-8°C.
