Thanks to the generosity of employees, customers and suppliers, the UK’s market leader in veterinary wholesaling and distribution, National Veterinary Services Ltd (NVSL) has donated more than 2,000 items to charities across the UK this year.
Last year, the business ran an internal staff engagement to donate easter eggs which were then given to charities, hospitals and hospices across the UK. Our employees smashed our target of 250 eggs and we received more than 800 donations from across the business.
Martin Riley, Managing Director for NVS, said: “Following our successful ’12 days of Christmas’ campaign we set the challenge to reach 1,000 donations to support even more good causes. By expanding the campaign to our external stakeholders, we’ve been overwhelmed by the support and our final tally was 2,319 eggs, toys and other items with more donations still coming in.
“We also had a competitive edge to the campaign internally this year, with two teams, led by myself and our Finance Director, Glenn Aungles. The Easter Egg Grand Prix was pretty close throughout the three week campaign and after a close run race Glenn’s team pipped my team at the post on the final stretch.”
“Each of our depots have selected a charity to support and our labs business and support teams in Talke also contributed to the final tally, and three charities will be receiving donations in Stoke. Thank you to everyone who contributed this year.”
