The UK’s market leader in veterinary wholesaling and distribution, National Veterinary Services (NVS), has won two awards in the IOIC (Institute of Internal Communication) Central & North Awards.
NVS was awarded ‘Class Winner’ for ‘Success on a Shoestring’ category and ‘Merit’ for ‘Best Video and Animation’ category for its staff engagement campaign ’12 days of Christmas’.
During December NVS had 12 themed days of fun, teamwork and fundraising including an Office Decoration competition, Food/Pet and Toy Donation banks, Christmas Jumper day and a raffle.
Martin Riley, MD for NVS, said: “Two chosen charities, Shelter and MIND, received cheques for £900 each as we raised a fantastic £1,800 through the Christmas raffle, gift tags and eCards within this campaign. We also raised more than £100 to ‘Save the Children’ from our Christmas Jumper Day.
“So many of our people were involved and it was a true example of teamwork in action. We were delighted that our campaign had been shortlisted for these awards and to win and be recognised at the Awards dinner was an added bonus.”
The winners from 24 categories were announced at an Awards dinner on Thursday 21 March at the Concorde Conference Centre at Manchester Airport.
